Vast Intelligence

Know the environment before you open the ticket.

Vast Intelligence reads our customers' AWS, Azure and on-premises systems, checks every answer against the vendor's own documentation, and writes infrastructure code that has already passed the linter.

A sample question about a made-up customer.

Does Example Health have a FortiGate in AWS?

Nothing has changed since last night's scan.

Checked: stored inventory, scanned today at 2:00 AM.

What it does for the team

Built for the questions engineers ask all day: what does this customer run, why is it failing, and what should we change.

  • Already knows the environment

A nightly read-only scan keeps an inventory of every connected account: servers, networks, firewalls, VPN tunnels and backups. Answers start from what is actually there.

  • Checks the vendor's own documentation

Commands, versions and limits are looked up on the official sites of more than 70 vendors, and the answer links the page it used.

  • Writes code that has been tested

CloudFormation goes through cfn-lint, scripts through syntax checks, and a second reviewer reads the draft before it reaches you.

  • Notices what changed

Each scan is compared with the last one: a server resized, a security group opened to the internet, a VPN tunnel that dropped.

  • Covers hybrid environments

VMware and Hyper-V hosts join the same inventory as AWS and Azure, so one question can span all of it.

  • Remembers what Vast learns

Fixes that engineers confirm are proposed to a shared knowledge base and used once a teammate approves them.

Built so it can only look

Customers grant read-only access, and the limits are enforced in code and in the customer's own permissions. Every customer access is logged with the engineer's name.

It can

  • Read configuration, logs, metrics and activity history
  • Compare what it finds with the vendor's documentation
  • Write commands and templates for an engineer to review and run

It cannot

  • Change, deploy or delete anything in a customer environment
  • Show stored data, passwords, keys or secrets to the AI: they are blocked or masked before it sees anything
  • Act on its own without an engineer

Connecting a new customer takes minutes

No agents to install and no data to migrate.

  1. The customer runs one commandIt creates a read-only role that only Vast can use.
  2. Vast checks the role and scansThe first inventory is ready in a few minutes.
  3. Ask anythingEvery answer already knows their environment.

MANAGE KNOWLEDGE BASE DOCS

PDF, Word, Excel, CSV, HTML, TXT, MD, JPG, PNG. For PowerPoint/Visio/Keynote/Illustrator: export to PDF first, then upload. Tag which customer a doc is about (or leave blank for general/internal) - helps the assistant tell real customer docs apart from internal tooling that just mentions a customer's name.
Uploaded new docs? Sync them into the knowledge base.

What do you want to know?

Ask about a customer's environment, a vendor product, or an error message. Connected customers are already loaded.
